The Shoot is done ... (Quick Update sans pictures)

Ok, pictures will be coming shortly as well as a much more detailed account but I thought I'd get a quick little something up.
So here goes.

It was a blast.
The crew was really friendly and made it a lot of fun (it was their last shoot of the season so they were a little punchy and eager to get it in the 'can' and begin the party'ng)
It was a little crazy and crowded with all the people and equipment, but we managed.

Here's a quick description of the work done (like I said pictures to come soon)

Living Room:
- Painted end wall as a feature wall in a deep purple (looked really purple in the can, but almost looks chocolaty on the wall ... depending on the light)

- Hung a new painting (hard to describe ... but imagine abstract, 4 quadrants, green, orange, purple) -- hung quite low in about the middle of the wall but looks quite nice.

- Added plants and fish to the fish tank (standard Neon Tetras, Angelfish, Bottom feeder ... we'll see if I can actually keep them alive)

- I had two low IKEA chairs, that they felt were not at the right height for the couch and other furniture so they created a wooden box for them to sit on (which had the effect making them an elevated loveseat ... a little odd but...)

- 4 pillows added to my couch (red and yellow)

- Lastly bought a purple heavy area rug for under my coffee table.

Bedroom:
- Put back up all of the chair rail, that I had started to take down, and painted the entire room a Seafoam Blue (not exactly what I would have imagine a Seafoam Blue to be ... it looks more like a Blue-Gray); leaving about a 2-3 inch border of white at the top

- Replace the bedroom ceiling fan with a wavy modern track lighting system

- Wanted to hide the bedroom window (as it was in a odd place on the wall), so they hung a wall of floor to ceiling leather (dark chocolate) drapery panels (about a inch apart)

- Placed the bed in the middle of that wall (which you couldn't have done before because of the window)

- Bought floor lamps for either side of the bed with funky white round shades

- Placed the Highboy & Dresser on the side walls

- Bought 6 white canvas hangings, painted them all to match the leather panels (Dark chocolate), hand painted with random geometric patterns, and hung them on the walls (low again, about middle of the wall)

- Bedspread is a Chocolate with Seafoam Blue Pinstripes, and Seaform sheets with Chocolate & Seaform Pillow cases

All in all amazing looking for less than a days work (almost non on my part)

BTW a bit of sad news (neither Angelfish is still alive). One nicknamed 'Lenny' after the sound engineer didn't even last through the shoot, and the other passed on within 2 hours after the shoot (I think heart attacks ... that big pirate skull I had to add at the end of the show is pretty SCARY...)
